Dear Brookhaven Community:

The 2007-2008 school year has been an outstanding one.  Students have learned about artists and their techniques.  They have developed their own artistic skills and created beautiful artwork.  The PTA has worked thousands of hours to provide educational and enriching field trips, assemblies, and interactive learning experiences that have enhanced our students’ education.  We end this year reflecting on the successes and looking forward to the future. 

Our teaching and support staff have produced an environment that has been welcoming to new and continuing families, and continue to provide outstanding educational programs for our students.  The Brookhaven team has worked to earn the GOLD and our students are the winners.

During the summer we encourage you to read, discuss books you read, and make conversation a priority.  With cell phones, text messages, instant messaging and other technology, we must take time to ask questions and listen to the answers.  Think of conversation as a tennis game with talk, instead of a ball, bouncing back and forth.  Conversation is an important skill that must be learned for ongoing success.  Make conversation an important part of your summer as you take vacations, sit around the pool, and enjoy time together as a family.

As we complete our GOLD MEDAL year we wish you a very happy and safe summer.
